Sparktech non-cdi V.S. HKS DLI
^^^I believe no matter which one you go with, they both will support the upgrade unless you going to be hitting over 600 hp then you would have to move up to the cdi systems
the fact that sparktech is on here for support and is helping you answer your question to me should have you sold. I would save up and go with the sparktech. with out a doubt. power gains and reliable you can't beat that.
also I am running e85 on my car with a evo9 turbo on stock ignition makin just over 400 and its been working out fine with me even in 15 deg weather. the car would be smoother and make better power if it had a upgraded ignition but i dont think it should a issue for you to have to rush and go the cheap way.

I really feel like the DLI2 is junk. Ive ran it to 500 hp (28 psi) than i had breakup. I would have to take my gap down to 18. The stock would work up to the same boost and hp.
Hey TK, look at the other cars in CO with greens on E-85, there are about 6-7 that are all running sparktech with no issues, play your odds and go with what's proven. We are all at 420 whp, i think your only decision would be cdi or non-cdi
There is also more to consider. To make over 480whp with stock coils you have to close the spark plug gap considerably .019-.020. The problem is the smaller the plug gap the more low speed driveability suffers. The car will surge and buck at lower speeds...add large turbos and cams and it's no longer fun cruising thru the local grocery store parking lot

I have that problem
, still have my spark plugs @24 but at lower speed the car is just a pain in the a$$ to drive bucks like a MAD BULL
, I guess is time to save $ and upgrade unless I get sponsor
LOL! Well, I guess I'll just have to look at a set from one of the locals that has them and do the research myself... I'm just curious what the actual cost for these coils are and the components in the kit because $650 still seems pretty steep for a kit that doesn't even include a box. I'd hate to see that the coils could be purchased for like $200 and another $50 worth of components to make it work and have a $400 markup.
