HKS 2.3kit + GT3240

Hi Guys,

I tried to copy the HKS CT230R. I got a 2.3 Kit, GT3240 Turbo kit, intercooler, 800cc injectors, surge tank with 2 additional fuel pumps at the trunk and practically everything else that was listed on the specs of that car EXCEPT for the FCON VPRO because there is no software for this in our country. Im still currently using my reflashed stock box untill i get an AEM box which also means that tuning is restricted by the airflow meter.

Im still braking it in and it will be scheduled for tuning next week (on re-flashed box). My question is, at what rev limit should i set it and what boost level since I'll be running on pump gas and i plan to use it for daily driving and weekend trackdays as well.

Also, what AWHP should I expect from this set up.

Thanks

Are you running 10lbs boost or 30 lbs? It really depends on how much you are gonna boost and who is tuning the car.

What ever you make your so blessed to have such a jdm, rare setup lol. I really wanted to do a setup like this but its alot of money and theres more competition on the turbos now such as AMS, Buschur,FP.

The tuner suggested to set the limit to 1.3 or 1.4 bar. Right now he set it at 1.2 bar and limit my car at 7K RPM. Actually I don't know how high I should set it. I think we are all being too conservative because we are scared of blowing up the expensive set up

rev limit - 8000
High boost setting should be perfectly safe at 1.6-1.7bar.

we have a few 2.3 3240s here running at circa 1.8 bar on pump up to almost 8k. On the rev limit part, I would look at the power output and decide accordingly. On the boost, 1.3-1.4 bar on a setup like that is a waste - even if you had stock internals I would consider it low... as far as power, if the rest of it is good, you should see around 600hp at the motor on pump gas

none of this is making any sense to me, Im running stock motor with hks 280 cams 1000cc injectors, ams fuel rail hks 3037s turbo kit at 25psi for 460whp.
Im looking to go 2.3 stroker and I want to stay hks so the gt3240. Is it unreal for me to think that it should be able to hit 550whp with this set up??
