best ground in trunk.. help

best ground in trunk.. help

long story short.. i moved my battery to the trunk to make room for my new ets uicp.. it was grounded on the left side on the fender where that little bolt is.. lately the car has been bucking and dying on me and not wanting to start.. just crank.. and when i move the ground around a little bit it starts.. for those who have their batterys in the trunk.. where do you guys ground it at? thanks for the help fellas

if you removed the spare tire use that hole or sand down the bracket tap to make a good contact (up to the right above spare tire location; same side of tire jack)

I ended up running my power cable and ground cable back to the engine bay and used the stock ground location. I added 1 extra chassis and engine ground in the engine bay while I was doing all this and I have not had a single issue in 2 years since.

sand the area you have now to bare metal, it will work as a good ground.

+1 I also ran both cables to the engine bay. Sounds like your issue is like previously stated, sand some paint away, and you should be all set.

Your ground should be as short in length as possible.

Just sand down the paint to get good contact with the ground.

Mine is grounded to the coilover nut. just sanded it down and connected it there.
