Hey Guys i need some help. I have been readinng about how engine ticking starts but i do not know what exactly is causing the problems. I noticed the ticking sound after my car got a TBE. I know alot of yall have had the same sound come out of the engine bay. Could it just be injector noice... or is it cause i need new lifters?

 

i am thinking injectors, do you have aftermarket cams?

 

no i dont have aftermarket cams

 

keep in mind that the 4g63 is normally a little noisey

 

could be your exhaust rattling a little. or get some mechanics ears and listen.

 

check your oil.

 

Our engines just tick a little,trust me after i bought mine and started hearing the same thing i freaked out.....no worries , they tick a little.

 

My oil is fine, but one thing is that my dad changed my oil once and over filled but it didnt click untill after i changed my exhaust.. im starting to think its just my injectors

 

The injectors are very loud.

When was the last time you changed your oil? Are you close to being due to a change? Mine ticked a little bit more then often a few weeks ago, I searched and someone suggested to do an oil change. I was due, so I changed it. The odd ticking noise went away. Just my 2 cents.

 

ahhhh the evo tick, i wouldnt worry too much about it the 4g is just loud

NO WAY!!!!

 

redline fuel treatment makes my injectors much quieter but yes the 4g63 is a noisy lil devil
