never thought it would throw a code because the light was already on for the o2, its getting a new o2 tomorrow and fixing that then ill see if it throws the overboost code. so getting the map changed and raising boost cut % and it will get rid of this?

Sometimes it comes on when hitting the boost limit, sometimes it doesn't. It all depends on how many times you hit the cut limit, once and the code becomes pending and twice it will switch to current and definitely pop up.

does ur "Service Engine Soon" light come on when ur flooring it and around 5 - 6k RPM it starts to sputter / hesitate? If so then I think I'm on the same boat... I've had it flashed through email by dynoflash.com and before I never had this problem until recently so Idk what my problem would be if it's not the flashed ECU....

My evo does the same thing. I'm set at 23 lbs of boost right now, its hits that cut/backfire in 4th as well. It never did it til I surprised it with this cold weather. We had turned the boost down to 19 and it still did it. I said screw it and turned it back up. And I'm gettin a fuel pump this weekend. Just gotta deal with the cold my friend

Hard to find good Evo tuners here in Hawaii, Honolulu. Most of the time tuners from like dynoflash.com, mellontuning, ams come here once in a while for a week or so to tune Evos / Sti's / Srt's. If enough local ppl are willing to get a tune that is.. Idk when their next trip is but guarans I'd get the tune from anyone of them if they were here, after I get my desired parts in and installed that is

Yea it throws the code, the cel was on before for the o2 but thats fixed now and the overboost code/wastegate malfunction came up. its turned down to 15-16 but peaks around 20 and hits it. It will get tuned soon and we'll turn the boost back up.

found out the previous owner before installed the turboxs mbc backwords so the ball in it wasnt working like it should, i fixed it for him and its spiking to 26psi without a tune, so i turned it down to about 17 and it spikes to about 22 when its super cold on and loading the turbo pretty good in 4th it boostcuts but its getting tuned soon

yea i understand how when u load a turbo it creates boost and all but now that its installed right, i have it set to around 15-16 but it will spike all the way to 22 and hold when u load the turbo up in 3rd or 4th but in first and second it will be around 15, is it boost creep? if so a tune and o2 housing would fix it right?
