hey

im wondering if anyone knows this for sure. will an evo 4,5 or 6 block work in an evo 8? that is just the block and 8 only, i know they wont work for the 9 cause of the oil control valve lines. visually the blocks look the same and everything is in the same place. let me know if anyone knows.

Everything after the EVO 3 is mostly the same up until the 8's in terms of the engine.

 

minor differences than, do you think the block would work in an 8? what about the head?

 

Yes. It will work, on the VIII same 4G63 engine design.

 

don't use a block from a IV as these are known to have Crankwalk issues

 

i dont think i would have that problem if im rebuilding it and putting all new bearings in, prolly some maching will be done also.
