backwards recirc valve????
so i've owned my car for a year now and i was looking in the engine bay and i just realized that my recirc valve was installed backward. the owner before me installed a forge valve in it. does it really matter what way the valve was facing? i am running 22 psi and it used to hold and not tapper off till about 5000 rpms where it would start to drop to 19. now that its the correct way it seems to be dropping sooner and going down to about 17. it helped get rid of my turbo surge and also made letting off of the throttle alot smoother. are there any other advantages or disadvantages to having it backwards or the right way?
Look, do a search on running the Forge valve backwards. I read some threads on it and in some cases the Forge technician recommends the backwards orientation. I don't remember why but maybe a Forge owner will chime in.
