Springs on TOB are backwards...what to do?

So I go through a **** ton of pain today, put a hole in my HKS intercooler, spend all day dropping the motor back in, putting the trans in, bolting everything up, getting the transfer case on, and all the mounts tightened. Now I come to find that the springs on the TOB arm are backwards.

Is there anything I can do without dropping anything out? If not, what is the absolutely EASIEST way to go about this?

Someone up there really hates me...

OK so they're not on backwards...but why is the throwout bearing springing back to the disengaged point? I'm trying to make sense of this because the slave cylinder should push on the clutch fork and thus disengage the clutch but the fork is already sprung to the disengaged point.

Any help?

Did you push the throw out bearing into the wedge collar? take the slave cylinder off and push the fork towards where the slave cylinder mounts.

I did that but it just keeps returning to its normal sprung position.

Do you have the spring clip in the pressure plate? Here is a pic of how it connects just for reference. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...t-bearing.html

Yes the wedge collar is in there...it's not latching on though.

You may have to take off the clutch slave to get the throw needed to get the TOB to engage the wedgecollar.

The slave is off and I'm throwing the arm all the way over and the TOB won't latch on to the wedge collar.

Looks like I have a couple hours work tearing it all back down.
