Keep hearing DV on this forum. I owned a 2G and on the 2G forums I never heard of a DV. Is there a difference? Or is it a new way to say BOV. Sorta like G-string to thong.

I say it's just semantics....they're basically the same thing. Why make a distinction?? Just say 'i'm venting my BOV'

Here I go again, digging up old stuff.

I just want to be sure people talking about JDM MR DV's and people talking about JDM MR BOV's are talking about the same part.

They are the same, yes.

Technically:

BOV = Blowoff Valve = one that vents to atmosphere

DV = Diverter valve = one that DIVERTS the pressurized air back into the intake path

In the DSM world, we only use the term BOV, and that went for all types. I never heard of a Diverter Valve until I joined EvoM.
