Buschur Racing doing a start to finish EVO8 build, need input.

OK, I just bought another EVO8. The car currently has no engine, trans, transfer case, brakes, suspension and some other things not on it. It is bone stock.

I am planning to do a complete build on the car. I want to document each step we take building it, take pictures etc. I am even going to show pictures of the engine assembly, some machine work, the cylinder head work etc. Very detailed.

This car will be a full weight extremely nice daily driver EVO. No intentions of running any race gas in it, ever. All sound deadener and such will be left in it.

Give me some input and I will atleast listen. I already have some ideas in my mind and know basically where I want to go with it.

What I want to know is what would you guys like to see done to the car?

what about a circuit racer? youv'e done full weight drag and full race drag
i.e drive it dd and to the track and back no trailors.
resonably quick down the straights but real good round corners?
if you go with a full V band flange manifold you could swap out a turbo with tial housing in 2mins dead for testing various
in track conditions
?

Great Thread. Good luck with the build David.

My vote is for the HTA35R, although it would be nice to see what the 50 trim is capable of.

HKS Hyperground kit. At least 4 of them, purple. Rainbow colors be damned this is innovation here.

a low budget buschur build...basically a car that hits 10s, still has ac, and can still corner like a beast...since u will be documenting this, lets just put up cost of parts and labor to show that evo owners dont need to be ballers to go fast yet be comfortable to drive across the nation.

--lets say ur budget is 10,000 good o'l american dollars!

show us what can be done to the 4g63 once again!

I've read you don't like twin scroll but I would like to see stroker with hta82 or hta86 with 1.06 A/R t4 twin scroll turbine housing.

Since you want to make it a fun daily driver that's still fast, here's my thought.

2.3L
Stage 3 head
Medium aggressive cams - not BF272's
FP Red
Stages 1-4 (Magnaflow muffler for quietness)
BR ported intake and 65mm TB
BR ported exhaust manifold
Stock ECU
Exedy twin or triple disk

That's 450-500whp on pump gas on your dyno that is streetable as hell!! I wouldn't mind driving that as a DD!!
