I happen to know where a kick *** EVO9 engine is going together too I've got the transmission and transfer case already.

I'm going to leave it EVO8 and you'll be glad to hear that it will be MIVEC still but the "M" stands for MANUAL in my case, I'm going to mess with some cam gears and our cams in it! haha

Yes, I think I am going to put the BF272's in the car rather than the HKS 280's and see what improvements I can make moving the cam gears.

I have no interest in running a ball bearing cartridge in the red.

Why is that? isn't a ball bearing cartridge supposed to give better spool and slightly better top end? any side effects?

we have seen so many HTA35Rs coming out of your shop already....i vote for built block (2.0 or 2.3)...nice head work with some aggressive matching cams...and a nice evo red (since the car is a street driven vehicle)...something not too extreme yet produces good enjoyble power on the street...a project that is achievable by the public evo owners without having to drop $25k +

i believe this should be your project

you are welcome Dave.

not a bad suggestion. i still want to see what the average stock IX turbo will do for a street driven car!

I say build it to run the street class time attacks. You have already shown what you guys can do in a straight line. Now build a weekend warrior setup that Joe Driver can race at his local HPDE.
