Did this 9 block with 8 head combo a few months ago...also used 8 HG. All i did for the feed line was cut really short crimped an welded. With the oil pressure sender i lengthen the wire to go all the way down to the oil filter housing. Everything is running great no leaks or coolant pushing either.

Is there any problems with sealing an evo8 head on a nine block. I plan on upwards 800whp. Anyone with experience that's done this before?

I think you could if you went stand alone, or swapped in an evo 8 ecu. I can't really think of too many scenarios where it would be a good idea to do all that though.

funny this thread came up,

I am now in the process of using an evo 8 block with an evo 9 head

I simply tapped the oil pressure sensor feed for the mivec banjo (pre final block washing of course)

and I still match the gasket to the head
