Help! I think my transmission went bad.

I have an 06 Evo gsr 5 speed trasnsmission. I got it with 5k miles on it. It just hit 12,500 and my clutch went out....so I had a guy change it. When he got done I took the car around the block, everything worked fine, then I took it around again and I was turning around when the stick shift became extremely hard to move. I couldn't put it in reverse or fifth gear.....the only gear I can put it in with ease was 1st. It goes into second, third and fourth with alot of difficulty. The stick shift is slanted to the left when in nuetral. I know it's not the clutch because it goes in with out grinding and all the cables are connected....when I disconnected the cables, the stick shift moves freely.....so it has to be something in the tranny I just don't have the slightest idea....

Sounds like the guy that did the install bent your shifter cable mounts on the transmission..Take a look and see if it is out of wack..

disconnect the cables from the transmission and try to shift the gears manually with hour hands. if it is stiff then there is a issue with your transmission if it is not stiff then there is a issue with your cables

it's also possible the tech adjusted your clutch incorrectly too. you should have that checked as well.
