Strange Thing happens

Works in Sonoma helped me change my shifter cable and install the its short shifter, underhood and console bushings. But after the installation, I feel something strange when I shift into 1st gear(the car has been warmed up). For example, when I stop in the front of the traffic light, I need to shift quick into first when the light turns to green. So I depress the clutch pedal and then shift, however, the stick won't slip into 1st smoothly, I need to force a little bit (sometime it just doesn't allow me to push up to 1st). But if I put the stick back to N without releasing the clutch pedal, and then make a second try, the stick will slip into 1st smoothly. Anyone know what happens?

I experienced the hard to shift problem. Works told me my previous Short shifter was too aggressive. Therefore, my cable was damaged by the previous short shifter.

I am not sure about your problem...sounds like normal notchy Mitsu tranny..

I sure hope WORKS contated all buyers of their shifter and replaced their cables at WORKS cost then....This is not good!

You could try different fluids, but honestly, I'd have to feel the shifter myself to tell you if anything is wrong.
