4g63 block

will a older 96-97 4g63 7bolt block fit a 2006 evo

It will fit but there are some difference such as no spot for mivec oil feed and water pump. Maybe a few others small differences also.

^ yeah tell him it fits and sell it on ur own & use the money towards a new Evo 9 block that u need! ; ) u gotta think fast there, if someone offers u something for free u take it & resale it!

he is the one that is building my motor, so i dont think that would work. so are you saying the only thing that will work is a evo 9 block?

work? if this means direct bolt on, yes ... ix block only.. unless you want to drill into an evo 8 block..

06 is the newer MIVEC Motor.. it is different... and even then I think the DSM motors are still different from the Evo ones... They are very similar tho...
