A boost controller doesnt add power or torque just able to run more or less boost which in return adds or lessens power and torque

Hey man....before you get flamed you should spend some time reading basic threads on this forum to learn more about your car. Simple functions like what boost adds to your car on a turbo'd engine is something you should honestly know owning your car imo.

But to anwser your question....a boost controller will of course add boost. On your car every 1psi you turn up will probably net approx. 10whp. So if you go from 21psi to 25psi you would see estimated 40whp.

BUT.....you have to tune for raising the boost. You can't just turn the boost up without a reflash on your ecu....or your air fuel and presumable knock will hurt your engine.

Best advice I can give is use the search button and read, read, read.

well read again because you are missing a lot of important info

a boost controller does not add power per se,

it is running higher boost that makes more power and torque, but you must be tuned for the higher boost or else you WILL grenade your engine

Just buy a mbc, turn it up, and run the **** out of your car every chance you get. You obviously have difficulty understanding the comments. Who the flashed you?

Something is not right in your sig. You have all of those mods and you're losing to a stockish sti.

for someone asking dumb questions you should be thankful you haven't really been busted on yet. if anyone should read read read its you. search button is your friend as this is about as basic as it gets. i cant imagine modifying my car without knowing what basic bolt on parts do.

if youre tuned for 22psi, then turning up the boost with whatever method you choose. you need to tune for that boost level. thats where you will see the gain.

Maybe it is the tune. lol. Just purchase a Hallman MBC, install it, turn it to 22psi and call it a day.

go get yourself a hallman mbc and set it for 22psi then. i still don't get the point of this thread.if your car isnt running well, im sure there are a few issues you could look into. such as a boost leak considering you once had a boost controller, and now you dont.

you need to read, read, read if you have to ask if a boost control adds power

you got legitimate answers

search if you want to learn more...raise your boost at your own risk
