Hayward and Scott
whiterexman is correct on the constuction BS304 18/16SWG stainless steel.Looking down the tail pipe you won.t see any thing that "blocks the flow "as it is a straight through design with perforated tube,i.e a tube with holes in the side for the noise to penetrate through into the sound absorption material. This is wrapped in stainless steel wire wool and then packed with a "long strand glass fibre".
Hope that helps.

I believe the muffler is made from 304 stainless steel as if it was the same as the Scoobysport system I had on my WRX. (Ian, feel free to jump in anytime!)

As you may already know, Scoobysport is physically next door to Hayward & Scott and the exhausts sold as Scoobysport are (all?) made by H&S, which is why they appear similar.
Also is this exhaust going to have the o2 fittings so that I don't have to get them done? And will the stock cat on the car work? One last thing will it throw a CEL or has that not been tested yet?
Thanks again
Ryan
Thanks again

The stock cat will still fit as the exhaust is made interchangeable with the standard system, Yes it will have the O2 fitting in place so it will fit straight on .As for it throwing a cell we haven't heard of that happening yet .
Thanks again for the quick reply.

Exhaust
Thanks for responding here Ian!
One of the great things about the system is its flexibility... you can easily leave the factory cat in place under the car, with smooth transitions, and remove it while on track with the straight pipe.
Dyno runs from the US car are coming out, and the area under the torque curve looks very very good, surprising to see +10 ft/lbs from a catback ...
And the sound is absolutely amazing
Deep and sweet, with just the right amount of volume.
We don't do group buys typically, but just to get the systems out there so that people can see how nice they are - we will be doing one. Look for full info on the forums within the next few days.

Group buy
Hi folks,
The group buy is ON for system parts - Peter will be posting details within the next 24 hours. We don't do group buys typically, as there is so much demand for the exhaust - and the margin is relatively thin. With the introduction of the system to the US, however, we thought that it would be appropriate.

Group buy to SALE
Hi guys - our overstock is your gain... I'm making this into a sale on the first five systems ordered from today.
This won't happen again, unfortunately - we're in effect not making money on five systems here just to get more of them out on the market and show how good they are. Tommi Makinen used 'em on the WRC circuit...
SO:
The first five customers, whether buying a turboback or just a muffler, will get ALL pieces at 20% off retail
Please reply here or on the group buy thread.
Thanks!
Ken
