Okay, whats my problem?? CLUTCH/BOV

Okay so I put on a the Greddy type S bov (100% recirculate) and before you tell me to put my stock one back on.. it doesnt hold the amount of boost I am running and actually need another one.

So heres the deal. I drove over 500 miles today (perrin meet) and on the way home I noticed something weird.. When I would make a hard pull and push my clutch in to change gears, my RPMs would rise. The faster/harder the pull is the higher the RPMs rev.

At first I thought a slipping clutch.. great. But I was thinking about it, and a slipping clutch revs out when you are accelerating. I did slow/medium/hard pulls in every gear, even found a big *** hill and through it in 4th at 30mph and floored it, my RPMs dont spike at all..

So every time I push the clutch in while accelerating somewhat hard, my RPMs rise... Could a lose vacuum line from my bov cause this? I am so confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think you are talking about the throttle hang and I think it's normal. Something to do with emission.

Throttle hang? I understand that it should stay at about where it is when I left off the throttle, but it raises up to 3k when im at wot and go to change gears. It only does it when I push the clutch in, if I just let off the throttle its completely normal.

Planned on it. I can drive it very softly and it acts fine, so I will probably hit up that BBQ then bring it out, or what ever.

Are you positive you're completely off the gas when you are pushing in the clutch? Maybe you just need to shift faster...

Lol! That is EXACTLY what it feels like, like im just not all the way off the throttle...........but i am. I made sure every time, and even if i let of the gas for say 1 whole second before I push the clutch in it still does it.

A lot of cars do this. My theory in this is when the clutch disengages the load is coming off the engine so fast the ecu just cannot compensate quickly enough to keep the rpm's level. There are so many things going on like egr duty cycle, how many steps the iac is open, injector pulse width, ignition timing (which is retarded I believe on deceleration). All these things affect load and rpm and they don't change lightning fast. It usually takes 1 second for a change to be noticed and I think that jump in rpm is that 1 second. Thats just my theory basied on diagnosing the companies cars who have the worst driveability problems for the past 4 years. Thanks Chrysler.

with the above stated, try taking your car out of gear without using your clutch... (your clutch isnt required to remve your car from its current travelling gear)... then shift... i had this problem when i changed my flywheel...

this has been happening to me recently where i got to shift at maybe 4 grand and the rpms shoot up to red line then i hear my bov,i was also told by someone my clutch was slipping! so i took it to my local shop(turbotrix) the guy did a few pulls and said my clutch was stong and its something thast happens with some evos and that theres nothing to worry about cause it wont damage the car...he said they be able tro fix it for about 300$ if it gets to annoying but niot necessary if i remeber corectly he said it has something to do with the throotle body being stuck open.
