Question Slipping Clutch?

So I think my clutch is starting to slip. When i accelerate my boost meter fills up at around 4500 rpms, and once it reaches 5000 rpms it skips up to like 7000, and sounds like my car is in neutral. First off, do you think its a slipping clutch? And if not then what could it be. Also, what would need to be done to fix this? Do I need a new clutch or can I adjust this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Its an Evo 8 with 85K miles, and has a TRE built tranny chromoly gear set, an exedy cerametalic twin disc clutch, and an exedy chromoly flywheel btw.

sounds like a slipping clutch, could be a leaking rear main seal and you have a bunch of oil on your disc's. Take the trans off and inspect it

Yeahh sounds like your clutch slipping you can adjust your clutch pedal to get a lil more time out of it with easy driving but your going to need a new clutch or you can get the rebuild kit for your exedy twin disc

In November of 2008, I bought my IX 1300 miles away from where i live and i had talked to the guy about a month before buying it and he described as perfect and it truely was! I still love this car but when i got there and drove it, at about 3500 the boost would peak and clutch would slip till about 6000 then it literally grabbed and took of like a bat outta hell! I was confused cause it seemed like it was slipping but then at 6000 it would almost break tires loose it pulled so hard. The seller thought it was "Turbo Lag" ahaha! No so i explained to him turbo lag and showed him in 5th gear and it was normal but once it got going peak boost would hit and slip and take off again, it was fast in 5th gear even cause it slipped so high then grabbed. It was bone stock and i called my mechanic back in home town and he said it sounds like its slipping, but i bought it anyway cause if you knew what I paid you would be in shock and I already had the check from the bank so it couldnt knock off some. But i got back and of course since it was new i was taking all my freinds for a ride and cruise and WOT everywhere, then Launched it once and it was amazing so i got my best freind and went and launched it and it felt good but when I hit second gear and let the clutch out it wouldnt go nowhere it just lost all life and that was 7 days after i bought it so i drove it to the mechanic and he replaced it and it is smooth as can be and that was 11k ago! My guess is that your clutch is slipping. I just thought it was so weird that it grabbed real hard at higher rpm

^ Holy wall of text! lol.

OP, definitely sounds like a slipping clutch. How many miles are on your current clutch and flywheel?
