SRS Light

I got in a small side impact collision back in December. I got the damages fixed and after about a month my SRS light is back on. My airbags wont deploy at random will they?

they are going to blow any second and hit you right in the face. No they wont deploy that light needs to be reset by a special computer that only the dealership has...or you can buy a snap-on one for loads of money

I was afraid of that. I had it turned off by the body shop but I just called my insurance in regards to fraud by them so Im a little hesitant to go there again. One my SRS light is back on, 2 they told me they couldnt find any used doors to fix my car and I take my door off and its completely yellow on the inside.

Sorry - little off topic but just be glad we drive such great cars.

The wife of a guy I worked with has a little Chevy sedan his wife drives - I don't remember the model. Anyway, she was coming back from visiting a friend in a near by town when blam, she got hit in the face by the steering wheel airbag. After collecting her wits, she decided to drive on and blam, a second airbag came out of the steering wheel and hit her in the face again. The car has two airbags in the steering wheel!

Well, her husband took it back to the dealer for warranty work and there the car sat for a long time. It seems the parts to fix it were on back order. I assume the reason for the backorder was because this was happening to lots of people. .
