I am glad you voiced your opinion and I agree with you for the most part. I value your opinion and fully trust you to wrench on my car because I know you have the knowledge and skill required. This is exactly why I wanted to have my car fixed by you.

The thing is that you are not fully listening to me. I never had the expectation that independent shops should be half as much as dealerships. What gave me that thought was the fact that the original figure was less than half the dealerships quoted price. That is really the only thing that bugs me about this situation.

I think that there's a misunderstanding about that. Our end of things would be about that much but when you add machine shop costs and parts the price goes to where I mentioned before.

You have got me all confused now. You originally gave me a figure that was minus the part and machining costs. I am supplying the parts and the machining cost is what it is. I am just looking for the cost of the removal and re installation. Thanks
