Which turbo kit would you choose?
geez man, tbh, if you're on a budget, the 500 whp on pump isn't it. I think you'll be impressed with a stock frame turbo, and if you want a lil more power go with the full-race manifold. I think a lot of people under estimate how much 400whp is, they somehow think its slow. The BBK and Red will for sure impress you.
^^^ Tis true... If money is an issue I would go with the Red or BBK. Honestly if you aren't willing to set back some cash for a built motor then I wouldn't get a larger turbo. Give the Red or BBK a shot see how you like it I am sure you will be happy. It will blow your stock turbo out of the water...
I can dish out a few more hundred, but not enough to build the motor. Thats why im asking if I should go with either ETS, FP Red, or the boostlogic kit from the first page.
by far one of the easiest and least expensive ways to get a larger turbo for sure....
I would recommend one of our ETS Super Value 3076 or 3582R Turbo kits depending on the spool and power you are looking for?
Spool on a 3076 will be around 4200-4300 on a 2.0L, where the 3582R will be closer to 5000rpm. The good thing about going with a turbo kit rather then just an upgraded turbo is the fact that you can UPGRADE later for much cheaper.
The ETS super value turbo kit allows you to go from a 50 trim style turbo to a 61 and even a 67 with the change of a motor mount. We offer a lifetime warranty on all our products and back it up with some of the best customer service in the business.
If you are like most people I talk with they go for the bolt on turbo, then they want more power or more top end power. It's definatelly cheaper to just purchase a direct bolt on T3 style turbo on your next upgrade instead of buying just the turbocharger now, then having to buy a complete kit later on WITH another turbo. You will also be able to run any of the HTA, Precision or Garrett turbo's that fit into that category.
If you have any questions about which turbo to go with feel free to give me a call, pm or email!
Thanks!
Michael
