Ok so, shifting 2nd-3rd is a bit iffy, it goes into gear, but with a bit of a thunk, if I go really slowly there is a small spot that grinds. Going from neutral to 3rd=zero problems, no grind at all. So my question is, what are my option? I'm not under warranty, I'm almost all stock except for ic piping, inter cooler, and quartermaster twin clutch.

IIm having the same problem with mine

 

The 03-05 Evo had a TSB for 3rd and 5th gear syncros but I don't know about the 9.

For those with 8's you can get it fixed for free....most times

 

Gonna work on adjusting the clutch pedal and see if that helps!
