Restrictor Plate Removal?
Restrictor Plate Removal?
I will be installing a new clutch line this weekend and I was debating on removing the restrictor plate. If I remove it will I ware out the drivetrain early or can it handle the abuse? Mitsu put the restrictor in for a reason.

There was a rumor about this many moons ago, but was never proven. Just like Loch Ness.

do you mean the restrictor do-hickey in the clutch line?
well others have said it helps. i wouldnt know as i dont have an evo. others state that the new braided steel lines help.
If it were me i would say yes take it out.
I also heard it is best if taken out if you are very comfortable with shifting and driving manual (I dont know your skill level so I wont even guess).

I guess I could try it with the restrictor in and just the new cable and if it’s not enough take out the restrictor.
I was just wondering what kind of long term effects it can have on the drivetrain.
