Just curious as to what this is and/or what its for.

Not sure of the purpose, but that looks like the dust cap on the transfer case.

 

its the hidden button on all cars from japan where if you press it the car will make 400 miles to the tank and have 500 at the wheels

 

I thought thats what it was. The car pulls hard threw all the gears now. ha

 

I believe it's the little breather valve on the transfer case. It can burp out a little fluid sometimes.
What's with all the coolant around it though?

 

All I know is it's covered in anti-freeze.

 

Oh, that's the button for the anti-propellaristic flagellator flux capacitatorization modulator. Just kidding.

I think under that cap is a small metal cap-like piece, moves around like a small thimble or something. Not sure what it's for.

 

"Danger to Manifold" warning bypass button.

 

All the coolant is from me removing lines to take the intake manifold off. I did not drain the radiator first

it's the R2D2 sculptor that is included with our cars. japs love star wars. who knew?!?

 

I'm going to go ahead and say it's the self destruct button. Don't touch it.

 

It is part of the transfer case but, I don't see anything in my manual that shows what part it is.
