Opinions on shifting problems

I just picked up an 05 evo a few weeks ago and this is bothering me more and more. Maybe Im not used to how an evo should shift, but this thing does not feel right to me.

The car has an aftermarket front motor mount in it, ACT clutch, and I just put in full AMS bushings in it thinking those would help. They did, but still having some slight problems.

The shifting just still feels notchy to me. I cant bang gears like in other cars. Also sometimes when doing a full throttle pass, when engaging to a gear, (i think 3rd) it feels like it slips and then engages. other times its just notchy and doesnt allow a clean shift into the gear.

I also notice this into 2nd gear on low throttle shifts.

I'm thinking the dude before me jacked up the clutch pedal engagement. Im gonna find a DIY on how to properly adjust, but any other ideas?

do a gearbox oil change, your choice - Amsoil/Redline or OEM.

then check your linkages to make sure they are good and maybe some clutch pedal adjustment (see evomoto.com for this)

other than that you just bought an evo get used to it

i get the same notchiness dont worry it takes some getting used to

I looked at a clutch pedal adjustment thread and i really think it might boil down to that. i know the kid mentioned about adjusting it. IMO it has zero play. So i think he just adjusted it down too much.
Notchy i can see, but if I cant get a clean 1-2 and 2-3 shift, its gonna be hard to run the times the car is capable of running.
The thing that makes me think its the pedal adjustment is also that little bit of slippage in the one gear on initial shift.

Also, that reminds me. i do wanna do the full drivetrain drain and fill on some good stuff. Who knows whats in it now.
The car was built very well IMO, but it needs a little more in depth tinkering by me to perfect it. Deff a good platform to start with though.

What would you check for on the linkage? Just any bends?
