New clutch and notchy question?

Ever since I have had my Evo, 9000 miles my gears/shifting is very notchy and grindy almost. I was thinking the other day, maybe it is because my clutch inst fully engageing?

It has been noted every time I have it serviced , and have been told "Duh-Hummmmm Seems fine/normal to me, uhhuhuh"

I was wondering for those of you that have a new clutch in their evo's , are you having the same notchy/grindy feel when shifting gears?

Or does the shifter feel much better with the new clutch in, no grinding/notchy feel to it?

Or is the notchy/grindy feel much less with the new clutch in?

Thanks Alot!

notchier shifts here with cusco twin plate, no restrictor, ss clutch line. mostly when cold. also hear some woooo howling when the synchros do work [e.g. imperfect rev match]

running amsoil right now, switching to redline mt-90 (gears), 75w90 (case/diff) next week in hopes of some remedy

I was just wondering if a new clutch would cure this S#@*.

Im really sick of these grindy shifts, it makes me want to ditch the car. I long for a silky smooth gear box.

Not sure. I've seen a bunch of posts say that's normal with this car, however, mine has always shifted pretty smooth from the beginning.

If you check past posts you will find that we seem to have improved on the notchy shifting of the EVO with our clutch, but I have only limited feedback. We made a small change to the design to test a theory I have about the shifting problems and to see if it is clutch related. I am not bold enough to say, "We fixed it!!" but so far it seems to have helped, which possibly indicates that it may be clutch related. We don't have an EVO to do our own testing so I am waiting on more and more customers to report their results with the shifting.
