So yeah i finally fixed my ride everythings ok except one thing im not sure whats up put i think its a boost leak

so this is what happends when i drive my car hits boost (Its an MR btw) and it only goes up to 0.8(12psi) bars instead of doing 1.25(18psi) i tighted all the intercooler pipes , but still the same what could be wrong?

 

Sounds like its stuck on wastegate pressure?...all lines to your mbc or boost solenoid in tact?

 

think so i jus recently installed a greddy ebc , so it could be possiable one of those hoes flew off?i think i check that but i'll check again and update but in the mean while if you guys might have any other thought why my car is doing this plz post

 

Does this happen during all accerlations? Or just the first couple minutes of driving? After a couple minutes can you hit full boost?

 

remove the EBC out of the loop and see if it does it.

 

no , i cant' its the same at all boosts

 

what do you mean remove it out of the loop? as in put it back to stock?


also since mine is an MR i already have a boost gauge installed so what i did was i connected the ebc boost hose to the same boost gauge hose , thats ok right?(i know it is just making sure)

 

also , i would like to know , what happends if im not useing the EBC right?(NO IM NOT BOOSTING AS HIGH AS I CAN OR ANYTHING THE CAR ISNT TUNED SO IT WONT BLOW ANYTHING UP) ive read that no matter how low you put it it wont boost less then its stock boost

i messed with the boost controler a lil and i guess that was the probleme i jus have to get it set up right i guess

 

you have to set the EBC for you boost... if you adjust the settings and you still are only boosting 12 psi, youre on wastegate pressure, and need to check your EBC...
