Best way to put it and I have been searching the forum, seems others have had similar issues but I cannot tell if mine is related. Ill be driving or sitting at a light and the car starts to sound kind of like a boxer engine or something and it will be difficult to accelerate. Its throwing no codes, compression and leak down were good so I feel like it should be a supporting mod like maybe a bad fuel pump or something? Wondering if others have experienced this because it sounds much like the p0300 code or whatever but there is no check engine coming on.

 

Check for vaccuum leaks. Do a boost leak test.

 

Its possible but its just weird it comes and then goes as if nothing. A boost leak has its own special feeling this is a different feeling it really feels like its missing or something but that would be constant usually. Boost gauge reads -21 vac at idle.

 

My car sounded like that.. the exaughst was hiting the lower strut bar

 

Mine was a snapped valve spring.

Hmm interesting reads, it has brand new supertech valve springs and retainers

 

I wish it was only exhaust hitting strut bar that would save loads of time and money hahah

 

Sounds like a misfire to me but i would say it is caused by Vaccumm if anything if it only happens when car is idling.......

 

check for vacuum leaks, make sure all coil packs are in correctly, make sure maf sensor is plugged in right (unplug and plug back in).

 

Sounds like ignition.

sounds like a random misfire i would check plug wires, spark plugs, coils, and harness for loose connections, injectors also in that order.

 

It randomly happens while driving and then just goes away. Trying to narrow it down and it's frustrating!

 

So far I've done new plugs, injectors and lifters in case one was bad

 

Mine did that when an injector clip was loose

You probably want to just check spark since you've changed all injectors
