first of all what makes me a noob because my post count is low and i dont advertise all my mods in my sig so you can think im cool. oh im sorry i didnt know internet forum post counts give you information about cars and how to work on them.

second you accuse me of not reading your post and giving false info which i did not. if you actually read my first post i have allready said i have the same product on my car and offered you a solution to fix it with something probably laying around your garage since you work on cars so much. i never said in my post at all that the stock air box would work with any of ets intercooler piping, i simply stated that you would be lost if you still had it because you cant even think of a solution to keep your intake from rubbibg on your charge pipe on your own and need help from your internet friends to figure it out.

shall i go on because in my second post i said if you would have got the stock route piping you would not have your current problem and would have not had to buy a mini battery, so thanks for backing me up in your little rant. once again you should read the posts you quoted in your reply its all right there.

next why would i be saying you bought an inferior product when i all ready stated again in my first post that i have the same exact thing except mine is not tapped for meth, oh i guess i saw that because i have no clue what modding a car is.

i also apparently have a magical evo becaus it seems to make 400whp and its totally stock because according to you ive never modded it. ive modded every car i ever owned and i did not take them to a shop to have them do it.(thats not modding, thats paying someone to work on your car) every single piece on may car was put on by me in my garage and almost everytime i add some something it had to be "customized" to make things work right. thats the fun part about working on cars. it is encountering problems and being smart enough and having the right tools and skills to fix them on your own. if you expect everything to go exactly as planned all the time by following simple instructions from a manufacture you might as well just stick to building legos.

doing r&d for companies does suck you are right but it happens all the time to everyone that works on their cars. i went threw a month long process with turbo xs when i had my 350z to get their utec to work my nitrous system, in the end i found the solution and gave them the info while they sat there and charged me for parts that didnt fix the solution. what did i get from that, nothing besides a car i could properly run a 100 shot on and the satisfaction that i helped every other person in the 350 world run nitrous safer and more effective on their car.

in the end stop *****ing about a pipe rubbing on someting and use your head and figure it out. i wished i lived in your little world where everything allways worked as planned and i never had to think on my own and i could just let everyone else figure it out for me.

Hey Guys,

We have never encountered this problem, or noticed it as an issue. We switched piping from the old style (sits much lower) to the style in the picture to clear the MR shift linkage, by doing that it looks like it created a fitment problem that we were unaware of. We have recently (in the last 3 weeks) redesigned the way our piping fits to sit much lower, so this is not a problem anymore.

I would recommend a rubber strip like JP7 did. We know you guys shouldn't have to deal with this problem, so we are offering a credit of $20 (cost of rubber strip) for any future order.

Thanks!

Michael

Used black header wrap on mine. Unfortunately I didn't notice it rubbing until roughly 12k later. Oh well.

This is why ETS is awesome, even when they mess something up, they admit it and fix it

Ouch - looks like I hit a nerve that got the panties a little ruffled - I apologize if I hurt your feelings.

Coming from where you did in your second post wasn't necessary was it? Maybe it made you feel it helped go over this issue more? No - it didn't contribute at all and were poor points overall that I went over board to point out.

As for me, I shouldn't have gotten on my old soap box as I've had to modify way too many parts in the past as as well and felt the old wound open as I took what you said in your second post - I never went as far as you with your Z. THAT shouldn't have happened to you either, and I hope you are smart enough to avoid that company in the future and warn others to do the same if it was that bad. Voice your like and dislike with your dollar I always say - the purchase power of the customer can make and break a company.

Aaah, but to hell with debating with you - mission accomplished.
ETS being the company they are showed that when a problem arises they will turn around and fix a problem that existed not leaving the customer hanging and changing the design for the better. Unlike so many others - right atkins?
Good job ETS.

ETS Michael - the redesigned piping you are refering to, is that for the upper pipe? Do you have any current pictures of this new piping to give people an idea and the changes made?

Is this for their 3" piping? Any different from 2.5"? I'm planning to get the IC Kit (3.5" stealth core, makes me wanna scream just picturing it on my car ) for my IX mr and a perrin air filter kit in a couple months.

This is for the 2.5" plumbing. I have the 3.5" FMIC, very nice indeed. You would have a similar setup as me.
