If you are bleeding large amounts of oil, your turbo as well as anything else that requires oil may have suffered. So your turbo might not be as in as good shape that you think it is.

 

I agree to send the turbo back to FP for an upgrade and a complete inspection. Better safe than sorry! Also, get a new oil cooler, if you get metal shards in there and it passes through into the new motor, kiss another one goodbye.
