motor blows again :(

ok so here is my frustraiting story, the first motor i had blew because my solenoid on my bc went out. this happened in novemeber and i did not have my car back until mid january.. soo after i was breaking in the motor and i noticed a small oil leak, so i had a new oil pan put on and a day later i checked and noticed another leak in the same area.. on tuesday i checked the oil and it was half full so i added oil until it was full... i did not drive my car much at all yesterday and tonight i was just getting on the freeway and i was cruising at a 100 and was not in boost.. then all of a sudden i heard a grinding noise and felt it through the pedal and then smoke starting barreling out of the hood and out my exhaust.. so i pulled over and look under the car and there was abt half a court of oil under the car and about the same amount of coolant. so i looked in the engine bay and on the pass and on the front of the block next turbo and looks to b on cylinder one has a hole the size of a pencil... so then i checked my oil and i had maybe quarter on the tip of the dipstick.. there are no other noticeable holes that i can see.... i have know idea what happened but please give me your input

So there is a hole in the block? You were going 100 mph and weren't in the boost? is that even possible?

yes it is possible, i was driving at 100 and my boost gauge was at zero just because i was doing a hundred does not mean i have to be boosting. i was was just driving at a constant speed of 100

sounds like the block might have been cracked. why were you doing 100mph?? maybe getting to 100mph accelarated the breakdown

""happened in novemeber and i did not have my car back until mid january""

you need to find another shop, that's way slow

"".. soo after i was breaking in the motor and i noticed a small oil leak, so i had a new oil pan put on and a day later i checked and noticed another leak in the same area.. on tuesday i checked the oil and it was half full so i added oil until it was full.."".

sounds like they screwed up the engine job, shouldn't be ANY leaks. Half full? so you had to add 2.5 qts? that's a hella leak

""smoke starting barreling out of the hood and out my exhaust.. so i pulled over and look under the car and there was abt half a court of oil under the car and about the same amount of coolant. so i looked in the engine bay and on the pass and on the front of the block next turbo and looks to b on cylinder one has a hole the size of a pencil... ""

that engine is DONE, you'll need at least a short block, might be able to re-use the head.

Sounds like you got a major leak somewhere. You got warranty on that engine? Work?

If you get a new motor and start having oil leaks it means stop driving the car and ****ing fix them, especially if your adding quarts of oil afterwards.

Sounds like a paper weight, I'd get a refund if anything. Not knowing any other details about the car though cant really say what caused it. Mod list, stock motor, built?

if you have a hole in the block means you might as well scrap that engine

I would try to get the car back to stock and take it in under warranty. Do the numbers match on your short block?

op i dont think your getting the point...you went through that much oil because you have a hole/crack in your block...you need to go back to wherever sold you the motor or did the motor and tell them what happened...in my eyes this would be unacceptable seeing as you just wasted a crap load of money on a new engine and you only got 4000k miles out of it (that's just ridiculous) unless there is something you are not telling us that caused this to happen. If you really think you didn't cause it in a respectable manner I would be on the phone as soon as that shop opened telling them you were coming in to show them and that they were going to compensate you for repairs from another shop...then take it from there. I HIGHLY doubt that mitsu will warranty anything on this car unless the motor was done by them especially cause you say you dont have the stock head.
