yeah check it out cuz its right above the dp so might be a lil hard to see but im curious to know why mine was leaking... its not really a leak but if you dont have it in and turn the car on then you can see a little oil drip out and it lands on the dp so it starts smoking nasty cuz of that but then i put the bolt in and problem solved no more leak

Just finished installing my GM 3 port EBC.

I shoved a small straw in an angle to see if that opening goes through and the straw only went in 3/4 of an inch in

Not 100% sure why you had a leak there, but I'm going to AMS tomorrow and if I remember I will ask them about it.

wow really cuz i stock a screw driver in mine and was able to get a few inchs in there and the same goes for my friends motor that we had out of the car, this is really weird now i have no idea why yours wouldnt... def try to remember asking the people at ams and see what they say, maybe you got the wrong bolt cuz the bolts next to that one are only 3/4 deep

It seems like only the 9's are having this "issue." I just pulled the turbo and manifold of of my 8 and the bolt was dry. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the castings being off a bit and the hole goes through when it is suppose to be blind? If it's just through the bolt would probably hold the leak back I'll have to take a better look at mine tomorrow.

You guys are confusing two TOTALLY different bolts. One (further to the passenger side of the car) is to mount the O2 housing brace to the block. The other, (further to the drivers side) is the access port to "lock" the balance shaft when removing the timing belt! There is absolutely NO reason to remove the latter of these unless you are removing the timing belt!

Me and my friend can install an 02 housing in under an hour lol. Just trust me man PULL THE RADIATOR and PB blaster is your best friend. Soak all the bolts you are going to be loosening and soak the threads where the o2 sensor is screwed in because the hardest thing about the whole process is normally getting the o2 sensor to break loose without screwing up threads.
