Car died at the track?

OK so I was FIR(PHX) 3 weeks ago, i was doing 120 ish, started to brake and downshifting (4th, 3rd) before a slow turn.. next i know the car dies, brakes and steering wheel locked on me .. good thing i was heading towards the gravel ..
I talked to a friend and he said its either

1. Over revving (did that on 5th gear)
2 HKS DLII

Car started up just fine and i drove it out of track, checked everything, E-Bay, AFRs, Leaks.. Nothing . i did notice that the hks DLII red light got really dim to the point that i thought it took 1 on me .

This is an EVO IX MR with 11400 Miles

oil change was made hrs prior to hpde (Ams oil Dominator .. good stuff) and all fluids checked and topped off.
Im going to pull out the hks twin (has about 700 miles on it) and send it to hks as i had some slight problems with it since day 1 (killed my hid leveler switch, thought it was a blown fuse, replaced the fuse.. no luck)

what you guys think?
Thanks

you lost brake booster and power steering, iow you did not loose them you only needed to be superman to use them.

your bet that the ignition system was at fault may be right, though I'd check your tune for that too. Has the car ever cut out while idling when hot?

wait, did you let the clutch out? or leave it in neutral?

I was replying to this

anyways had the tune for over a year, car runs strong no problems at all. I started the car after about 5 minutes when i let it cool off in the gravel, drove it off the track no problems, shifted right drove like it always did. I'm still leaning towards that the HKS twin is what caused this cut out

Sounds like it could be something ignition / electrical....Did the car have electricity when it died? The car immediately fired back up ?

A full tank + 5 gals gets me through to the lunch break. Evos don't like turns when they're low on gas.
