BR's Project White, "completed". Lots of information.
The car is impressive in the torque/response department for sure. Thanks for the compliments. I wish I had more video of it.
Today we pulled the car in to do some more work on it. We put on a reject 02 housing when we built the car, fit horrible. Ted pulled the reject off, replaced it with a quality piece and put the new high flow oil feed line on the turbo.
While he was doing that I fiberglassed our front block off plates into the fascia and installed the carbon fiber lip.
Tomorrow we are going to put in a fresh Bushwacker Stage 1 trans (1st gear failed in the trans that I used in the car) and I am going to install ARP wheel studs all the way around. The wheel studs are so I can install my other set of wheels on it for this weekends Buschur Racing Sport Compact Shootout. I will be running my Mickey Thompson drag radials on the car for that event. I want that 10 second pass.
Also going on the drivers side seat belt will be a CG Lock. One of the greatest inventions ever. For those of you not familar with it, it turns your seat belt into a lower lap belt "harness". You put your seat belt on and then can pull the lower section TIGHT to hold you in the seat. They work freaking great. I have one in the RS. For autocrossing/road racing and just a more secure feeling it is the best thing you can do to keep yourself in the seat short of putting a 5 point harness in.
Next after this stuff is the Jack of Trades alt map switch that his fiance' was kind enough to wire for me and send out. Then JCS Banks is going to give me a hand switching over to speed density on the stock computer. Should all be exciting stuff.

are you saying you had a brand new bushwhacker trans stage 1 and it failed after only 1 event and now you're putting in a new one? thats kind of scary if so, seeming as I wanted to prob get one soon...haha
I'm not sure, but I think he is saying that he used one that was laying around the shop with a failed 1st gear.
It was an old transmission (not a bushwacker) they had laying around the shop built by another transmission rebuild shop.
No worries with the Bushwacker transmission guys. 10,000 miles, 58 passes at the drag strip and countless street races with mine at the power levels shown in my signature.

This car doesn't have an oil cooler on it.
The intake pipe is our double bend pipe, we had stopped selling them years ago because of idle issues on the stock ECU. Now that there are ways to tune around that we can offer them again if someone wants one.

Yes, correct, the trans that just came out of it was one I had built by another shop back when we did the Super Four Challenge with Car and Driver magazine. It did that one event, made a handful of drag passes in the car back then and was pulled out and stored on the shelf. It was not a Bushwacker trans that failed.

Only reason I asked Dave after seeing it listed here. Thanks for the fast reply. Can't wait to see more success achieved by Project White.
Update!
As you guys have read I ran the car at Winged Warrior and ran an 11.14 at 126 mph. We came back, fixed the trans and I started doing some testing on aerodynamics I had been wanting to do for some time. I do not want to go into the details on it here as I will be posting a new thread with videos this week. We ended up adding a front lip and the BR front fascia block off plates like I have on the RS. I also put the vortex generator on the car.
I then added my wheels/tires off the RS, which weigh more than the Volks and are equipped with the MT drag radials.
The ET dropped to 10.65 and the MPH has gone up to 129.64 with a peak boost of 28 psi. No other tuning changes were made. Kevin Lawson was at the wheel of the car.
I'm pretty happy with the changes and the results.

good job.....the car is sick...
Not sure the car will ever go 9's on the Red. It's at a disadvantage over the few other Reds that have gone 9's and I am not willing to sacrifice anything on this particular car. Lower 10's won't be hard but I don't think it will ever go quicker than 10.20's. I don't intend to run it on race gas, I don't think I will ever run the car on a stand alone, I won't take any weight out of it. It was built to do a lot of things well, so far so good, concentrating on just drag racing the car will ruin it as a multi purpose excellent daily driver. It's shocking to me how quiet the car is, with the windows up it is very hard to hear the exhaust, so nice to drive.
