straight pipe catback
All I can say is, most people only see a 5-9whp increase with just a catback. But adding a DP, HFC and o2 housing + a catback yeilds like 20-30whp. I don't see how having a stock exhaust on a DP/HFC combo would yield much power at all, maybe again only like 5-9. Finally uncorking his exhaust and having 2.5-3" all the way back with no muffler would give him a full TBE and much more of a boost in power then any of these components seperately.

i felt more low end power from switching to the straight pipe. top end was a bout the same maybe, ill have to post a vid of it running
So I was talking to one of the guys i drag race with and he was saying that if I add a resonator in the pipe it'll give me more low end gain were if I make just a straight pipe i'll only get hp gain on the high end. is this true?
i've installed an o2 housing, 3in dp, 3in test pipe. i noticed right away ,the spool was much faster. i put the br muffler delete on & also had the mid pipe from the cat to muffler done to be 3in. wow! very loud when on it. not too bad in the 2-35k rpm but definitely feel the difference being all straight pipe with no restrictions. i would say, if this is what your wanting go for it.
When my buddy had a 300zx TT the car would reduce boost if the check engine light came on.
Since your likely not racing in a catagory with a rear bumber exhaust requirement, might be better off welding a WBO2 bung on the DP so you can run free exhaust DP on. Will be cheaper, lighter, and more powerful than running the highest flowing rig of two complete catbacks you would have to have. And the best part is you wont be tripping over the unused catback that will always be on the garage floor or , some cases, living room.
You could just place a cell fix inline of the NBO2 sensor harness and have it switched so it could be out of exhaust without cell when on and racing. I am not certain if SES effects open loop performance, otherwise you can race with SES on and go without cell fix
