Check your lines for leaks. look for fluid coming from the hard line just above the transmission. Have someone pull the pedal up and then press it back down while you look for a leak.

If no leaks it is probably what the OP said. You probably just popped the clips off.

+1

Look at the banjo fittings, they might be tight, but still could be leaking. I had the same issue last winter time, couldnt tell till someone was pressing in the clutch only to see it literally dripping out under pressure. Went and bought some line from advance, and a small pipe bender also and did it in the motel parking lot. $10.00 fix.

my symptoms were.

clutch pedal would go down, and not come all the way back up, (after 3/4 of the way my toe would have to pull it the rest) then after a while the engagement points got lower and lower and lower till finally the pedal was on the floor and the car wouldnt go into a gear without wanting to move.

This happened to me today, my car park about a mile away from my house, could not make it...what "some line" did you by to fix it.

Also check that you did not break the pivot fork, clutch hydraulics rarely fail like that especially when factory.. But I am willing to bet your wedge collar popped out

if the pedal is sticking to the floor it may be the master slave cylinder.
