Temp transmission and tcase fluid?

So I got hosed by a vendor on the diaqueen and mtl I ordered for my upcoming (tomorrow) clutch job... I'd rather not leave my vehicle inop at the shop after the fact, what can I run temporarily in the transmission, and same for the tcase (or, alternatively, how much of the oil in the tcase drains out when it is removed).

Worst case scenario I'll try and reuse what comes out just to get the damn thing home, and drive my other car until gv decides to ship my stuff. (well actually, the worst case scenario would be postponing this a weekend, which will then completely **** up the rest of the month)

Royal Purple for transmission and whatever synthetic brand 75/90 GL5 gear oil for the TC. Take your specifications down to your local Autozone or whatever there is in Montgomery, AL and just get substitutes for now. If you must absolutely have the Mitsu stuff, then postpone your job. Anyway, don't try to reuse whatever came out. You'll never even come close to getting it all and whatever you could put back in won't be enough anyway.

not sure I can get royal purple, only one store in town would have it and they're really low on stock here lately. I'll check when I get off work. Does the gear oil need to have any friction modifiers in it or is it just straight synth. 75/90?

Thanks!

straight synth 75/90 GL5. Castrol is OK, but if you can get Redline, get Redline. The transmission oil is the same as used in the Dodge Stealth/Mitsu 3000GT 75w/85w GL4, and you can use any of the ones from GM/Pennzoil/Quaker State/Texaco Synchromesh/Valvoline synth/Mobil 1 Synth.

Once you get your stuff you ordered, change out what you put in. As for myself, I use Liqui-Moly oils and lubes, which is a German company. I don't use Diaqueen because our weather and temps here in the Middle East is a lot harsher than the rest of the world, and my stuff runs fine

Thanks for the help! I got stuck putting coastal in the transmission and mobile 1 in the t-case, I should have the correct fluids sometime mid-week, but its not acting up or anything like that.

Its gonna be an expensive evo month, new clutch, new tires, and a couple small mods, whew. my checking account is going to be crying for mercy

you can find syncromesh almost anywhere for the tranny.

and get some 75w90 or any GL4 fluid,,, BUT REMEMBER most fluids in auto part sotores are not carying LSD additives you need to change your TC and rear diff fluids asap,, i would not be runing the car for more than a couple hours on this fluid.

if you need any help with good fluids we can provide them for your engine, TC rear diff and tranny

that's good to hear that everything went as best as it could. Mobil 1 is good stuff, so don't sweat it because it does have LSD additives. I use it for the Z06. You can read up on Mobil 1 here for your own edification. http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lub..._LS_75W-90.asp

Honestly, I don't see you having any issues. Just like two EVOs are never the same, they each have their own character, and I have seen this more often than not, but since you already paid for the Diaqueen, you may as well use it as soon as you get it for your own peace of mind, but anybody can have the best stuff in the world, but it does nobody any good if it isn't readily available.
