look on the fuse panel anything key symbol related is ignition. Also, check your starter...have someone in the car and reach under car and tap the starter with a hammer/heavy enough tool to agitate the coils...crank the car at the same time.

Would the starter not working cause it not to have spark to the spark plugs? I have no spark gooing to the spark plugs.

the car is a friends he deployed to Iraq, before he left he had cams and exhaust installed with a tune. When I started the car it was fine I tried to drive it and nly made it about 50 meters before it just died. Now it wont start at all, I do know that he put a whole bottle of fuel treatment cause he figured I would start it often.

Excerpt from web pages:

The red coating is a result of the additives in lower-quality unleaded fuel and will be visible on the plug's ceramic insulation. The red coating is not an indication of any engine problems

Edit:

As a side note there are two fuse boxes to check one in the engine bay and one in the interior under the steering column

To me cranking and turning over mean the same thing - that the starter is rotating the engine. And, to answer your question - the engine has to crank before it will make spark.
