Turbo Question

My friend has an T3/T4 turbo an he doesnt want it, if i install that on my evo would i see any gain or no difference.

Sorry for the noob question. i tried searching.

t3/t4 is just a flange....what size and brand turbo is it?...
plus it wont mount up to the stock manifold...

Oh I see, ill ask him. So it means ill have to upgrade my turbo manifold?

yes and you will lose the twin scroll. You're probably better off with the stocker that the other turbo. More info needed.

Correction...T3 is the flange and turbine side, T4 refers to the compressor side mated to the T3 turbine side.

This sounds more like it. I am not sure that this turbo is doable on an Evo though. Off hand, I can't remember anyone having done this.

Pretty much everyone on this forum running a non-stock flanged turbo has a "T3/T4" footprint. Basically anyone with a T3 hotside and a T04E/T04S compressor side (50 trim, any 30/35r variant,...). It is an extremely vague designation that could mean virtually anything, much like if you said you had a "TD05H" turbo.
