Shifter Sux

So I recently picked up a IX SE and I'm not feeling the shifter at all. I don't know how to describe it except to say I don't feel confident with my shifts, especially when accellerating quickly. I was thinking the SS clutch line, titanium shifter linkage buhings, and a shirt throw would be a good investment. I would like to hear from anyone who has experience with these products.
Thanks.

Two things: Clutch needs to be fully engaged and shift cannot be initiated to early or late or else it won't grab. Logs show 0.3 sec shifts, just a matter of knowing your car through practice

An eBay short shifter (comes with shifter base bushings), Speed-Source under-hood bushings, and some Redline transmission fluid and you'll be loving your transmission! I recommend this setup to everyone I know with a 5-speed and they all love it. Unless you're running a really heavy pressure plate a SS clutch line won't do a bit of good.

SS clutch line won't do a bit of good even with removing the stock restrictor?

the stock restrictor pill is inside the slave cylinder. Remove the line from the bottom of the slave, remove the bleeder nipple, and push a small hex wrench through the hole until a small plastic pill and a spring come out. Reassemble, bleed the system, and you're set! It wouldn't be a bad idea to take this opportunity to flush the entire clutch and brake system since its good to do it every few years anyway and they share the same reservoir.

Thanks for the replies. So I won't mess with the clutch line but I will get that restrictor pill taken out. I'm not much of a gearhead, could someone knowledgeable in this area explain to me how the restrictor pill works? Also maybe a brief explanation on how the linkage bushings work/ affect shifts. I'm new to all this stuff so any links, or advice is much appreciated. Please excuse my ignorance, I want to learn as much as I can about my car so I can take good care of it.

This link has all the info you need regarding the clutch pill removal, shifter bushings, and short-shifter installation. Read the first two posts.
