Car Stalls When Started

Hey all, I just got my Evo VIII the other day and haven't had any issues until today.

All of a sudden, when I started the car, it was idling at ~500 RPM and was about to stall, it would jump to 1k, drop to 500, and repeat. Now, after letting it sit, it starts, goes to 1200 RPM, and just drops to 0 and stalls.

I don't know much about the car itself but it isn't modded much at all (catback, bov, air filter). Anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance!

Im the Op's friend and I'm working on his car. The IC pipes all seem fine. What should I be checking with the BOV? He has a SSQV in VTA. Nothing looks out of place.

It was running fine before the heavy rains this evening. It doesn't seem to have taken in any water since it starts, revs and then slowly loses its rpm. If you give it gas and hold it steady, it gradually loses rpm. Any help is greatly appreciated

Where should I start? I have an Evo X but I've never worked on the VIII's

Also, the car has no codes.

We disconnected the MAF sensor and the car isn't having any idling issues anymore. Apparently the water damaged it or something and we'll fix it or replace it tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys
