Start Up Issue

I've done some searching but couldn't really find anything related to this topic.

With the cooler/cold weather I've been experiencing some issues when I start up my car. I'll step on the clutch, and turn on my car. I see the RPM hover around 1.5K. But as soon as I let go of my clutch I see my RPM drop down to about 500 or so, and seems like the car almost stalls. Sometimes it gives a slight jerk when it drops down that low. So I've been just easing off the clutch and giving it some gas to prevent this from happening (almost kinda like I'm moving from first gear). Anyone else have this happen to their EVO?

Is your car stock or custom tuned?

I"m running the Cobb AP Stage 1 with the stock intake.

It varies, lately it's been about averaging to about -10C, but it has dipped down to about -20C.

Oh I should specify that I'm running the Cobb Stage 1 93 tune for the stock intake. Using 94 octane in my car.
