P0340 Code. Only...!! no start.
So today i was out washing the car. Then went to start it afterwards and it did not run at all. Threw a P0340 code nothing else.
There was 1 hard P0340 and one pending.
I searched on here and someone said they had the issue when yet everything i have done has not worked. I disconnected everything and reconnected it.
I got the car to turn over once it was running fine. Yet i did not want to leave it at that so i turned the car off let it sit for a few minutes and went to start it again.
Nothing.. But the p0340 code non stop with nothing new.
-Swapped coil packs with friends evo.
-checked the CAS connector for water or due of some kind. Nothing....
-looked over every connector possible. And nothing.
Anyone have any insight.

The ECU uses the cam shaft position sensor to know when to fire the plugs. If the cam shaft positions sensor is not working then the engine will not start.

Check your battery. Have you had any hard starts or have you stalled out at all?
When I battery starts to die and has a low charge, it will set off the P0340 and P0335. It happens pretty much with any car.

Problem was found to be bad contact with the ground wire on the starter.
I pulled the connector off used some fine grit and sanded the terminal and cleaned out the negative plug of all the gunk.
Works perfect now.
