Messed UP DRIVABILITY...
Moosa-
I got your PM and responded. Reading this however, I'm going to venture and agree with the VSS being the culprit. You'll need to double check that it is plugged in and didn't somehow get damaged in the clutch swap. (Trust me, it happens more than you think).
Good Luck!

Moosa, I emailed you the links for the EVO IX work shop manual and the 05-3 supplements. Download and keep those. They are worth more than gold.
The VSS is associated with the car's speedo (erroneous speeds or ceases to function) and can affect the rev limiter by decreasing it if it is bad or disconnected. A bad VSS can also affect the ABS system. I am not certain, but I am inclined to believe that the EMS will also take a sample from the VSS in order to calculate/refine the air/fuel mix, hence the weird symptoms you are experiencing at idle. Someone check my math on this.

hmmm.. i woke up this morning with the craziest idea in my head...i think in my head i have found the problem...its the low voltage at the off throttle thats causing this issue..
i have been having a problem with my battery anyways..so i am going to switch from this battery to a new one!
