Issue with boost.....

The car was all stock except a TBE and Intercooler. So I decided to up the boost so I bought an AMS mbc, walboro 255 and new spark plugs. Put everything in and gapped the plugs at .25 well when I do 22lbs and lets say I'm in second gear at 3k rpm if I WOT then by 4800 it hits like a brick wall all power cuts off. What could cause this???

Have you had a tune? Runnin too rich, fuel pump and no tune can cause the car to go into limp mode so you don't blow it up

Sounds like boost cut... you will have to change some settings in ECUflash to remedy this

boost cut, because u need a tune is what it sounds like. when the boost is changed, a tune is required.

the car is cutting ur boost as a safety precaution (limp mode)

the reason why i decided to go with a boost controller was because under stock settings the car was always at 11lbs no matter if i pulled the battery or no it was 11 lbs. Could this be a factor also??

Boost leak... if you were only boosting 11 psi off the get go... Boost leaks will cause this also. First check all vaccum lines going to/coming off the intake manifold. Then do a boost leak test pronto. These are the same symptoms my buddy had last week, and a vaccum line popped off the manifold that goes to the FPR causing a huge boost leak and "the wall" you are referencing.

are you logging the car at all? Sounds like "boost cut". There is a table in ecuflash called "boost cut load". Most likely you need to open up your rom in ecuflash and make the necessary adjustments to this table. Although Im not sure about the boosting 11 pounds before all of this... I think wastegate pressure is 14 psi, no?
I think the reason its fine in first gear is because of how fast everything is happening. There is a table that controls how long before boost will cut out. In first gear, its not holding boost long enough for boost cut to hit. Dont mess w/ that, just edit your boost cut load table to compensate for the higher load your now hitting.
