FINALLLYY got my baby back, but there is something wierd going on. I get an oil light when the clutch is in/ car is idling, but when ths driving the light isn't on.
is this a switch or is my oil pump dieing?

My light flickers every now and again, I dont really know if it means anything, but I know its full of oil and never leaks a drop, Im interested to see what people say, maybe I am doomed, hope not, and its been plenty of miles not to

BUMP does it have to do with pressure?? Maybe thats a problem I need to find, even though since the last time I took my car apart it has not done it again so far. I am going to keep watching this one, thanks

It's either low pressure or a sludged oil pressure sender.

How many miles and is the engine clean or dirty inside?

do your self a favor and get an oil pressure gauge in the car. It is an oil PRESSURE light. Try running a slightly thicker oil to get your pressures back in line

I have seen the pressure senders go bad frequently. Get a real guage in there and keep an eye on it. My old DSM did this only when the AC was on idling with the clutch in and the rod bearing on #1 and the b-shafts were toast and when I replaced it and removed the b-shafts the oil pressure was fine from then on.

im almost 100% sure my cams are stock, I mean, i wouldnt be suprised if they were MAYBE like 264's, is there anything written on them besides the manufacturer that would allow me to tell what kind of cams they are?

oh and thanks for the link, I was already going to change weight to prob like 15w-50, and after reading that thread it's pretty much convinced me the sensor is f*****, prob from when they put the engine or tranny back in,

bump, im having the same issue. just started happening. had the cams in for 1500 miles and then it started happening. after i installed my mbc it started happening. i checkd for leaks and none, i had 4500 miles on this oil change so changed oil, mobil 1 10w-30 and it helped a little bit. seems when the oil temp is over 85 degrees celcius it starts to flicker. hopefully its the damn oil pressure sending unit. ugh i hate cars lol...not really though
