possible throw-out bearing?

I'm the 3rd owner of my car. Since I bought it, it had a slight rattle from the engine bay. When I turn the a/c on, it gets louder. When the compressor turns off, the rattle can only be heard with the hood open. When the compressor kicks back on, its very noticeable. When I step on the clutch and/or give the car some gas, the sound goes away. The only mods are an exedy dual stage clutch, full 3inch exhaust, and boost controller, all installed by previous owner. - thought it was an exhaust rattle but A shop i go to around here says it might be the throw out bearing. Any ideas?

Yep... totally a normal noise the TOB makes.. nothing to worry about.. normally happens when its old.. when you get a new clutch in the future make sure to replace it.

I had a similar problem and it was the TOB. Mine didn't involve the A/C though. Just when I was coasting.
