GST Motorsports showed some interesting dyno sheets comparing Red and BBK Full....Although the peak numbers on the Red were slightly greater, the BBK Full curve was much better. The broader torque curve will generally make a better street car and better road course / autox car.

I auto-x mine.

It really depends on the course layout. On some, it performs awesome. On others, the spool sucks. I beleive that the BBK would very much outperform the Red at auto-x.

Your 98 R.O.N.(Research Octane Number) gasoline is, in fact, equivalent to American 93 octane pump gasoline which is rated by averaging both the Research and the Motor Octane numbers(R.O.N.+M.O.N./2). Both 98 octane R.O.N. and 93 octane U.S. pump gasoline are essentially alike. Thus, they both possess the same knock resistance. So, as a practical matter, you would be able to run the same amount of peak boost on either of these two pump gasolines before reaching your engine's knock threshold. Both fuels would pretty much "feel" alike.

im glad everyone is grasping what the BBK and RED are all about...

I like alot of the stock frame turbos... as mentioned the RED is fantastic at high boost pressures.... I have tuned a few of them on pump, E85, etc....

Our BBK is generally run as a pump gas 91-93 octane turbo and it responds like a stock turbo but doesnt fall off up top...

we build lots of weekend road race track cars, or auto-x cars, and our clients love the BBK for those applications....

That being said David B- (buschur racing) has proven the red to be a very worthwhile capable turbo for many different uses...

generally it comes down to your goals, and which company you are most comfortable with.. we have just over 145 bbks out there now with very happy customers

if you would like to discuss it direct, please contact me

cheers

What kind of pressure would you run the Full at if tuned on e85? Would you even recommend e85 with your turbo? I am trying to max the potential of the stock bottom end, so I am looking for around 500whp. I have followed your turbo with much interest because I autox and drag, and the Full sounds like the perfect turbo for my needs.

im glad this thread got made... i have a few questions of my own...

hmmmm ok, well now I found out about this BBK, im interested now.

My Goals > 400hp... WHP or BHP.

My car is a daily drive, dont auto-x but love to go hard around bends on the road.

Alot of ppl on this board sport FPRed. Who sells this BBK (what is the long version of this name anyway lol)

Will this turbine support my goals? I love the smoothness of my Evo 9 turbine. Will they both do that? As well you know how ur in 5th gear and u can just hit the throttle and it'll go, i love that!

** this is the question i need to know so i can price stuff out... with either BBK or FP Red. What are the parts I need to support the car? (eg: injectors, etc etc). I dont want my car to fun loppy.

well, the BBK is the Billet Blue Kompressor...

its our exclusive turbo....

we can use a used stock ix core or brand new unit... delivery time is 2 days to ship from order date...

also, ours spools almost identical to stock.... and will make the power you want...

we have made 400+whp on our mustang dyno (360 on our mustang dyno has proven to be over 400whp on most other dynos)....

cheers

The BBK Full shines on E85 for sure. I would recommend it 100%
