02 Dump; EMP Vs QTP

I know a lot of people are running the EMP but what about QTP. I have heard fitment problem with the EMP i.e. 8 or 9 turbo. I know they have V1 and V2 but that is for IC pipes; they mention nothing about turbo and j pipe. I have only heard good things about the QPT and no fitment problems. Anyone had any problems with the QPT like the EPM?

I had the QTP and it fit like garbage all around. I had v1 ETS licp which it rubbed against and began melting the coupler. It also was too big for my mishimoto radiator.

EPM or JMfab would be the best choice.

Is there anyway to get them anymore? I bought a v2 but Im reading that it wont work with my ets v2 licp...so I might have to put it up for sale and hunt down a v1.

I had the epm dump and it was a tight fight. The JM Fab looks like a tight fit as well. If i had to do it all over again i would probably go with a Maperformance downpipe/dump.

I've heard nothing good about QTP. EPM has had some fitment issues, and it seems their fitment is hit or miss, but their customer service is great, and they'll do whatever it takes to make you happy.

I had the JMF on my first Evo. They're o2 dump, though it's pricey, is damn near perfect. No LICP issues. I only ran into two small easily fixable issues. A/C line need bent out of the way by about a 1/4". A few light taps with a rubber mallet will do the trick. Also, the DP flange (depending on your DP) might rub on the dump tube. Just take your DP flange to a bench grinder and grind off as much as nessacery. It's a litle trial and error, but it's easy.

My order of preferance would be:

1: JMF
2: EPM
3: QTP

QTP FTW. Easy install no fitment issues what so ever.

my epm rubbed my koyo radiator, and that was after bending it, hammering it flat and then i hit a parking curb and bent it back. not it clears the radiator but hits the rubber coupler on the turbo... its a very tight fit...

I am running the QTP and let me tell you it fit like crap. I needed to dremmel out the bolt holes to allow it to even line up with the hotside. Once that was sorted out I realized it was touching my LICP coupler where it meets up with the J-Pipe. A torch and a hammer pretty much solved that one. My last issue arose when I tried to reinstall my radiator. It didnt want to slip past the bottom lip of the radiator. So out came the hammer and the torch again...I did get it to fit but what really bothered me was the fact that I spoke with the people at QTP before I purchased the dump and they claimed to have fixed their prior fitment issues. Clearly that wasnt the case

I have an EPM Ver 1 and I have had no issue with fitment. It's a tight fit but nothing rubs or close to melting anything. Power is there and boost holds real nice to red line. I would say EPM FTW. Most-Wanted was using it for a while on his red turbo setup for almost a year before changing his setup

Thanks for the kind words sir! We are also working on an 02 dump that will be released very shortly. No LICP issues, 304SS flanges that will not rust, and no obstruction in regards to airflow at the transition to the downpipe

How soon? My car is apart right now...and I might not even bother trying to install my epm dump as I can't get in touch with Q@EPM via email or pm.

We're hoping to have a prototype in the next few days here, I will be sure to update this thread. The problem with this time of year is that we are trying to get our race car ready which is a handful to say the least lol.
